Reasons to Love Autumn

Autumn is a wonderful season, full of colours, promise and magic - all perfect ingredients for a brilliant adventure, whether travelled in a book or out in the world.  The following are just a few of the things that make autumn a season to cherish and look forward to!

Windy Walks

Climbing windswept hills and trailing along forest paths coated in a collage of colourful leaves.

Reading

Autumn is the perfect time of the year to cosy up with a cup of tea and a book, close to a fire or surrounded by candles.

Halloween

Halloween invites mystery and wonder. It's a time to relax and be silly with friends, and of course, carve the all important pumpkin.

Cakes and Home Cooking

The smell of a freshly baked cake is wonderful at the best of times, but in autumn it's even that little bit extra wonderful - when the weather is miserable outside it's the perfect sugary pickup.

Plus a scrumptious stew enjoyed with family and friends is lovely way to enjoy a cosy evening in.

Castles and Museums

Castles are great fun in autumn because they always seem that little bit more atmospheric! And if the rain becomes too much, museums are a great place to explore, and unintentionally take rather exposing pictures!
